Purposeful writing.
Purposeful services.

Sometimes, we just know we need to change something or start something or write something. It's right there waiting for us and so we try to make a start.

But before long, we loose momentum and move off track. Having a clear purpose is critical to making that 'something' a reality.

But going on that purposeful journey is far easier with company.

My Story

After working for many years in magazine publishing and then the charity world, I knew there was a ‘something’ that I needed to start. So I left the London life and began my storytelling business - Pinnie Pockets and the Story Apron. Passionate about the power of imagination, I write stories and lead sessions in schools and at events.

Then another little ‘something’ popped up. I’d discovered the power of story to be profound and that it could be used to connect and invite people to belong. And so Truth Be Told: Storytelling For Life, an intergenerational social action charity was born.

As were three wonderful children along the way! Thanks to my partner in crime Dan and we all live happily in Dorset where we’re aiming to be just good enough parents and on an adventure altogether.

The golden thread of purpose

The drive behind every page of my story has been a belief in the purpose of God in my life and those around me. I’ve had some brilliant opportunities to speak and write about the concept of purpose and somehow, I’ve seen my words impact how others view their work in hand or their future.

I’ve designed tools to guide ministry or project leaders through the process of sifting what’s in and what’s out in order to define an overarching purpose. And I’ve spoken to groups of people about how to discern the elements of opportunity that God has given them in order to follow their personal golden thread of purpose.
